i have found certain quotes recently... and i think that they are really beneficial and funny... haha... like the one i heard this morning: "me know no art, but me know what me likes" quoted from cookie monster!!!
they are put in this format... "quote" person who said it
"Spoilt brat of a troll. His father is a diplomat -- but that one would burn a tree to cook an apple. And then he'd discard the apple, and beat his servants for not putting out the fire." Samaranth (Here There Be Dragons)
"Power is a thing earned, not like something that may be passed along with the possession of objects like thrones... or rings, for that matter. Power, true power, comes from the belief in true things, and the willingness to stand behind that belief, even if the universe may itself conspires to thwart your plans. Chaos may settle; flames may die; worlds may rise and fall. But true things will remain so, and will never fail to guide you to your goals." Samaranth (Here There Be Dragons)
"You could stand with a little impracticality, I think. Your springs seem to be wound a little too tightly. Besides, the past is over, and if you think on it too closely, you either get lost in the misery of the things done poorly, or you get tangled up patting yourself on the back for the things you did well - which no longer matter, becase they're in the past, anyway. The future, however, is still to come - and it's always fun to look forward to the good events, as well as have an opportunity to plan for the bad." the Cartographer of Lost Places (Here There Be Dragons)
"If you know something bad is coming, can't you plan to avoid it or try to do something differently?" asks Charles. "Probably," said the Cartographer, "but then the good events would have no flavour. The joy you find in life is paid for by suffering that comes later, just as sometimes, the suffering is redeemed by a joy unexpected. that's the trade that makes a life worth living." take only the Cartographer part. But the Charles part is just so you know what the Cartographer is talking about (Here There Be Dragons)
When there are more that i found, i shall add more... but until now... i only have these few.. haha... all from the book im reading now!!! WH00TS!!!
