OBS. finally i managed to finish it(:

it's finally over. yay. omg. so here's what happened. wh00t ELIZABETH CHOY

Day uno

We set off from school, at around 7+, and we were like supposed to reach sch b4 7. i reached at 6.40 like wth lahh. then take bus. lalalallaa. with willa. (:

reached there, put on my nice mosquito repellent wristband.. sunblock, and walked around. after separating, we stopped under a tree before heading to ubin. discussed admin matters. saw mating lizards, then mating butterflies, and surprisingly a mating jingyi and huiran.... -.- ubin there have nice clouds. we got introduced to nadiah. our wonderfully patient instructor.

made our way to camp uno. yay. ppl were extremely happy. we had a store. full of our stuff. duhh. blahblahblah. met in the MPH, surrendered everything of value + medicine. haha. looked around... first activity, take your helmets and harnesses and meet me. we sorted out our happy meals(: food for in between meals, lunch and breakfast. in it there was wheat crackers, oreo, apollo, apollo cakes, muesli bars, isotonic drinks in powder, powdered milo, powdered ovaltine, powdered cereal, and 7 diff kinds of buns. i think that's it.

then we took our harness and helmets, and left to learn how to belay. we took turns. i was belayer for zhiqi and i seriously needed rachel's dead weight. haha. esp at the pull test. i would have been lifted clear off my feet. zhiqi was belayer for me, rachel for willa, and willa for rachel. haha. i like belaying. (: then we went to sort out the stuff in the store. errm... bathe, eat dinner, then *drumrolls*

went deep into the "woods" to pitch our tent. AT NIGHT. technically it was evening, around 7+ xD damned dark lah. eh, we not bad leh. learn how to pitch tent and let it look and stay nice all these in the dark! yay us. wonderful lah. haha. happy. but also not that happy cos we had to go in so far cos we were late. ): haha.

we slept with our feet near the door, for all the chou jiao wei to go out. xD *smelly feet smell* xD

Day dos
lalala. serious miscommunication. my tent mates and i got out early, and we needed flat ground to roll our tent. so we told the rest of our grp that we go out first. so we did. then outside, we managed to roll our tent. then we followed nadiah's instructions and went to the big quadrangle like place, and found we were the only one there. after the flag raising things, the other grps started playing random games, saying funny good mornings. xD japaneses, norweigen, etc. xD but we were left out. cos our whole group wasn't there. then shiting's group joined us. huiran came over and asked us why we were there. and we told her abt how we were supposed to be at the quadrangle, and not at the store. so the rest of the watch arrived, and we got scolding from the instructors, and they made us spend another 5 mins reflecting. *sigh* not like it did anything good.

then we got our nice helmets and harnesses again, to put our belaying skills to the test. UP THE INVERSE TOWER. (down the vertical tower xD) xD i wanted to belay, but i wanted to climb too. so i partnered with tzehui (hello buddy(: ) and we made it to the top. taking a bit longer bcos the logs crossed over each other like here there everywhere. xD rachel belayed for me(: haha. we helped each other fasten the funny rope ladder thingy so that we could climb up. xD reached there, i had to go first. so i did. then i had to climb a bit off course so tzehui could climb first. then i was stopped... ppl downstairs were telling me that my rope was stuck, and to pull it backwards. so i tried. i dared not to move too far back. afraid that the swinging movement it took to dislodge the rope, might dislodge me too. like omg lah. haha. then surprisingly, i didnt expect that the rope would have came off, but they told me to continue. so oh wells. yay. it was very fun(: then we reached the top, swapping positions again. when we reached the top, i saw where my rope got caught, cos it was still there. xD haha. then i dislodged it, and climbed up the pole first, shuffling over on the net so tzehui could climb too. then TADAAA. we were done(: so we came down. racheyy brought me down a bit slow, so it kinda hurt with the harness cutting into your thighs. then when she let me come down, she'll stop, and i'll jerk in mid-air and maybe start cursing. haha. but it was fun. after us, i wanted to belay for venus, but racheyy got the job, again, instead cos nadiah says just climb, maybe no strength yet. xD so they reached the top too. guess what? venus' rope was also caught at the same spot mine was. how did i find out? racheyy lahh.
then just before they reached the top, it started to rain. and according to nadiah's walkie talkie frm the weather station, it was a category 1 storm. haha meaning high chance of lightning strikes. and it was a tower so the tower would have been the first to be struck. xD so only wiggy, venus, tzehui and i climbed the inverse tower(: haha. everybody else had to hide under shelter(: the storm was predicted to end at 11.20, just in time for our kayaking stuff. and indeed, it ended at 11+ and we went for kayaking lessons. not under the hot sun (thank god) under cooling conditions. checked the floatation of our vests, ducked our heads in too(: learned how to paddle, carried the kayaks which were damned heavy lahh. haha. for something made with fiber glass, it was surprising. then learnt how to paddle. i partnered with RACHEYY. xD she front, i back. xD i steer. she paddle. she tired but cannot really rest. i can. xD got ourselves used for the capsizing examples, so we had experience. when in deeper waters, our group was the fastest to "rescue" tzehui and jingting. so we started moving around doubly. only tzehui and i paddled, while jingting and rachel held on to each other's kayaks. xD fun lahhh. then it was our turn to capsize and tzehui and jingting to save us. we were quite fast too. just 30secs slower than when we rescued them. xD
went back, packed up the kayaks, washed up, and went to take our bags for hiking to our next camp. camp 2. we were told that we were to walk for 2km. so we walked and walked. everybody was happy(: then when we reached camp 2, we were told again that we only walked abt 700m xD. but when we put down the bag, i felt like i was going to lift off the ground. without that weight. xD first to pitch our tents and yet one of the last few to cook our food. ah crud. haha. nadiah taught us to cook nice rice, nice food. with toothpaste and solid fuel. weird. xD
sleep that night was wonderful. saw dogs again. 2 or 3, i cant rmb. but oh wells.
OMG. willa said i snored. did i? really?

day tres
late again. hmm. didnt participate in some of the morning activities, but in the end we joined in(: yay. then we planned our land expedition. to aunty farm and see jackie the wild boar. i was navigator to aunty farm. there were swarms of mosquitoes. i repeat. SWARMS of mosquitoes. got lots of bites, but we made it nontheless. xD so i got many mosquito bites, and didnt want to admit it. xD met the aunty, saw her two dogs. left. on the path back, there was a snake. xD green one. long one too. xD then we warned the group walking towards aunty farm abt the snake. after walking a bit more, we heard screaming, and we guessed that they had reached the snake. xD
then kept walking. after a while, i realised that i was losing my steam. i was lagging behind. my bag was dragging on my shoulders. i was wheezing. i didnt know why. others asked if i had asthma. no. i never did... and dont intend to. so somebody (i cant rmb who) suggested that it was bcos i had so many mosquito bites, and was a bit anaemic.
haha. so we left there, walked to the jackie the wild boar place. the clouds were extremely pretty, but i couldnt take photos): reached there, rested, and i felt much better. so we headed for our campsite.
almost there, and it starts to rain cat 1. so we had to hurry to our camp sites, pitch our tents in the rain, and sit inside till the rain is over. haha. racheyy brought her frog in. and we had to share our tent with a housefly and 2 mosquitoes which rachel subsequently killed. rain was also seeping in thru the sides. xD so then we errm threw the frog out, or racheyy did, and it went plop. jumped again into the bushes with a plish. xD haha. then cooked dinner. (instant noodles without the seasonings and the random canned foodsss) nice dinner. i really liked it. then we had briefing. and we spent the night listening to music from johor while we slept. our group was supposed to take the first watch till 10.25pm. but by the time we discovered what time it was, our duty was over. xD but not like there wasnt any ppl around. haha. wenxian and i went peeing in the bushes. or rather outside with huiran to watch out for others. xD
sleep tonight came hard. badly placed rocks (they couldnt be removed) stuck into me at weird places. and it was wet. sigh.

day cuatro
lets see. oh this was the sea expedition. xD kayak-ed the non-loser route.
woke up at 4.30am. was still late for the gathering of everything by 5+ sorry other groups. eventually, we set off. around 7.45, 8.
took 5 hours. kinda fast eh? nobody capsized, luckily. lots of dead fishes around. wonder why... racheyy had this random compulsion to pick up everyone of them with her oars. smelly siah.
racheyy and i were like one of the first few of our watch to set off. but ended up one of the last few. we were running out of steam. so we lagged behind. then the instructors caught up and told us to head to the front. we did. but we got slower, and they got faster. so we ended up at the back again, when the instructors caught up again and one of them was like, "I asked you to go infront with the navigator! Why are you still here?" haha. damned funny lorh.
finally reached camp 1. not sure if trekking was better. i think maybe kayaking was better. easier. i ate an apple. and a slice of orange. xD helped to carry kayaks, and ppl's bags frm the sandthingys. the motor boats that the instructors used. xD
celebratory dinner yay(: instructor told the story of the boss asking retiree-to-be to design his last house. the last house he designed was meant for himself, which he didnt know, so he did it lousily and quickly. haha. ended up with crap to stay in. so the dinner which was supposed to be for another group, ended up being eaten by the group that made it, itself.
for once, we were not late(: yay(:
i took stock of my mosquito bites. first i counted 79. then i felt an itch on my face. so it became 80. xD
went back to the store and i touched my first dog. (: yay. i never touched a dog b4. now i think i kinda like it. I WANT TO TOUCH A DOG, OR A FURRY NICE PET. ):
had our tents near the entrance of the campsites, but i didnt get to see it. cos it rained cat 1 storm that night. we were stranded at the store. instructor came to claim us and put us in the MPH to sleep. i think we were like the only batch to sleep in the MPH before. haha.(:

day cinco
woke up at 5am to pack up. took our breakfast from the store, and was the first group in the quadrangle. yay(: sat there eating breakfast and wished huiran a happy birthday(: then we were sort of reprimanded that since we woke up early, why didnt we keep our tents. but no one else did. so they weren't exactly fair.
went back to store, did stock take, cleaned up the ponchos, tents etc. supposedly we lost a brush that cos like 75cents? xD so we decided to pay for it instead of wasting time to look for it. in the end, nadiah found another brush to replace ours. so we didnt have to pay. yay(:
spent a while doing grp reflections. it got emotional after rachel.
i apologise to EC if you think that i didnt share my feelings sufficiently. but im not one who shows much of my feelings to others. only when it's like major anger or smth like that. but i couldnt help myself. so when it reached willa, i broke down. but wasnt like really loud or expressive. but enough. haha.
anyway, then we went to buy souvenirs. or they did. i just stood around, wanting to drink some water. xD then we packed our bags, and said farewell to obs. but before that, we had funny jokes and lame ones from the instructor there.

and:
if i have four tea (forty) cups, and i broke one, how many do i have?
haha. and this was the same guy who told rachel she had a bright future cos she had wanted to set fire to the grass. he also told me i had a deep future just cos i said smth lame. xD i dont rmb what though. xD oh wells. we took the Symphony back to punggol jetty and i took the car home.
took stock of my mosquito bites again, and now, 88. xD supposedly a lucky number.
one week later, the marks are still there. sigh. ugly siah.

i think im getting sick. i have a blocked/running nose. phlegm. and lethargy. phlegm is gross. i sucked in thru my nose, and had phlegm run down my throat. gross lorh. oh wells. cca tmr. i skipped cca just now): too sick.
